Family Faith Formation – Kindergarten - 8th Grade

At St. Thomas More, we believe parents are the first and most important teachers of the faith. Children learn how to live as Christians through the love, prayer, forgiveness, and example they see at home.

Our Family Faith Formation program is designed to support parents as they help their children grow in relationship with Jesus Christ and learn more about the Catholic faith.

Family Faith Formation in the Home

Family Faith Formation is meant to fit into the natural rhythm of family life. Families are encouraged to pray together, attend Sunday Mass, and use the Gospel Weeklies at home to talk about the Sunday Gospel.

Parents do not need to be experts in the faith. We provide lesson guides, videos, and support to help families feel confident.

Gospel Weeklies

Families receive the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies, a Catholic curriculum based on the Sunday Gospel. Each child receives a grade-level edition with age-appropriate lessons, activities, and reflections that help them learn about Scripture, prayer, the sacraments, and the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The grade-level editions are:

• Promise: Kindergarten and 1st Grade
• Good News: 2nd and 3rd Grade
• Venture: 4th through 6th Grade
• Visions: 7th and 8th Grade

Who Can Register a Child?

To enroll a child for Family Faith Formation, the family must be registered with St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

Please Note: Only the child’s parent or legal guardian may complete the Family Faith Formation registration.
