Meet the Priests
By Leon Wozniak
Our parish is a very lively congregation, not only because of its many activities, but because it shares in the rich talents brought to us by the clergy. That’s especially true because of the help we receive from priests who are eager to share the many gifts that they have been given.
We are speaking of priests who have served the Church and its members for many years but are now enjoying well-deserved retirements. Fortunately, it’s not a retirement life style that leads to their being absent from our lives. It’s really a life style that allows them to continue to offer their talents to our parish.
St. Thomas More is very fortunate to benefit from the rich services of priests who, while no longer serving in a traditional manner, are willing to offer their love for the Church by assisting at our weekly services.
In the next few issues we’ll be introducing to our readers the priests who help in our liturgies. They are Father Frank Bartel, Father Eugene O’Carroll, Father John Coleman, Father Mark Harrington and Fr. Tom Doyle. We will also share about other priests that come from time to time when the weather is better here than where they normally reside. We will share with our readers some backgrounds on each.
